Αγαπητοί μαθητές και γονείς,
Σας καλωσορίζω στη Χριστουγεννιάτικη έκδοση του Ενημερωτικού δελτίου. Μέσα σ’ αυτό θα βρείτε σημαντικές πληροφορίες και πολλές φωτογραφίες από πρόσφατες σχολικές δραστηριότητες.

Σε λίγο έρχεται το τέλος μιας ακόμη επιτυχημένης και ευχάριστης σχολικής χρονιάς για το ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟ ΣΧΟΛΕΙΟ ΑΧΕΠΑ. Οι μαθητές μας εργάζονται εντατικά και με ενθουσιασμό κάνοντας πρόβες για την γιορτή με την επίβλεψη των δασκάλων και με την δική σας βοήθεια στο σπίτι. Η Χριστουγεννιάτικη γιορτή μας είναι αυτή που θα δώσει την τελευταία πινελιά στο πολύχρωμο και χαρούμενο πρόγραμμα του 2011. Ένα πρόγραμμα γεμάτο επιτυχίες και πρόοδο σε όλες τις τάξεις ακολουθώντας το Αναλυτικό Πρόγραμμα διδασκαλίας ανάλογα με τα VELS. Τα παιδιά μας επίσης συμμετείχαν με χαρά σε πολλές πολιτιστικές δραστηριότητες όπως: το Καρναβάλι της Αποκριάς, την γιορτή στο σχολείο για την Απελευθέρωση της 25ης Μαρτίου 1821 και την Παρέλαση στο Μνημείο, το Πάσχα, και το γλέντι στην οικογενειακή ταβέρνα για τη μέρα της ΑΧΕΠΑ.

Έλεγχοι, Ενδεικτικά και Βραβεία

Οι Έλεγχοι και τα Ενδεικτικά θα δοθούν μετά τη γιορτή. Ο έλεγχος παρουσιάζει μια γενική εικόνα της προόδου του μαθητή για το προηγούμενο εξάμηνο στις Βασικές Μαθησιακές Δεξιότητες. Το Ενδεικτικό είναι μια απόδειξη ότι ο μαθητής συμπλήρωσε το ανάλογο επίπεδο και μπορεί να πάει στο επόμενο. Στο τέλος θα δοθούν χρηματικά βραβεία σ’ ένα μαθητή κάθε τάξης που εργάστηκε εντατικότερα σε όλη τη διάρκεια της χρονιάς. Τα Βραβεία φέτος είναι προσφορά του Κυρίου Πέτρου Πατιστέα. Με συγκίνηση θέλω να ευχαριστήσω τις δασκάλες για την υπομονή τους και την εξαιρετική δουλειά τους όλο το χρόνο. Ιδιαίτερα ευχαριστώ τους γονείς από το Σχολικό Συμβούλιο για την αφοσίωσή τους και την πίστη τους στο σχολείο. Τέλος ευχαριστώ τους Εθελοντές της ΑΧΕΠΑ που πρόσφεραν ακούραστα την βοήθειά και την αγάπη τους στα παιδιά και στο σχολείο μας.

Τελειώνοντας, σας εύχομαι Χαρούμενα Χριστούγεννα και ένα Καλό Καινούργιο Χρόνο.

From the Principal

Dear parents, guardians and students,
I welcome you all to Christmas edition of the Newsletter. Enclosed you will find important information and lots of photos from recent school events.

Soon will be the end of yet another successful and exciting school year for AHEPA GREEK SCHOOL. The Christmas Concert will be the last of the colourful and enjoyable programs in 2011. Students are eagerly practicing their parts for the Concert under the guidance of their teachers and with your help at home.

This year was full of academic achievements for all grades as they progressed according to our Curriculum and VELS. Students also participated and enjoyed a number of Cultural activities such as: the Carnavali, the Concert and the March to the Shrine for the Greek Independence Day 25th March 1821, Easter, and the Ahepa Day Mid Year Family Lunch.

Reports, Certificates and Awards

Semester Two Reports and the Certificates will be given out after the Concert.

The report provides an overview of the student progress over the last semester in the Key Learning Areas. The Certificate provides evidence of student completion their Year level.

At the end of the Concert, Awards will be given to one student from each class to acknowledge their consistent effort and achievements throughout the year.

The Awards this year are donated and presented by the Ahepan, Mr. Petro Patistea.

Finally I would like to thank our dedicated teachers for their consistent effort and outstanding work for our students.

Special thanks to the wonderful Parent Committee members for the exceptional commitment and their work throughout the year. And last but not least I wish to thank our Volunteers for their love and tireless support to our children and the school.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Students Enrollment for 2012

The School Council wishes to thank you for your cooperation and commitment for the success of the 6^th year of its operation and we look forward to enhancing your child’s Greek language skills in the future as part of AHEPA’s aim in promoting our language and Hellenic heritage in an educational environment.
To assist us in planning for the 2012 teaching curriculum, number of classes, teaching staff and general administration we will appreciate if you complete the Enrollment Form and hand it to the Secretary/Treasurer, by the 5th December 2011, or mail to AHEPA GREEK SCHOOL, 8A Church st. Hawthorn VIC 3122.

The AHEPA GREEK SCHOOL will begin on Monday 6th February 2012 and will operate from 4.30pm. to 7.00pm on Mondays, except school term and public holidays as observed by the Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School. Please refer to the Greek School Timetable.

Referral Incentive: Please assist us to increase the number of students and keep the school going in the future, by referring other parents to AHEPA GREEK SCHOOL. As an incentive, we offer $100.00 discount off your fees for each new parent introduced to enroll at the school.
